THE FUTURE IS NOW.

MEG.

I'm in charge of 'social networking' so I think I'll take this opportunity to blog about my wonderful partner in crime, Meg Watson.

Right now Meg is totally wasted at work...When I left her around 9pm last night, she had a certain 'I'M GONNA F**K SHIT UP TONIGHT' sparkle in her eyes....and that she did.

I told her not to get to wild, cus I wanted to go out tonight and her hang overs last 5 months. She didn't listen.

One of the best parts about working with her and essentially being married to her for the next 5 years, is that she is as crazy as me, wears the wildest african lady clothes, has the best spirit and can actually maybe come close to out booty dancing me.

Today, as the alcohol has begun leaving her body, she is having anxiety about the new store and is texting me 500 things a minute. She is concerned that it is not as WILD as it should be considering the beasts that are opening it.

The great thing about Frances Watson, is that we are opening with basics and expanding with mayhem. We have all the best jeans, great basic clothing, amazing leathers to start and in the next few months we will be working on our in house line to blow your minds for spring next year. Silk tent dresses, chambray shirt dresses, onesies, leather everything with a Janet Jackson soundtrack.

So basically this post is a heads up. Come in, buy the jeans, get that vintage glass set for your friends house warming, grab a locally made necklace because you're PMSing but don't you dare think the next time you come in we wont have a new crazy piece or two to throw at you. Maybe you weren't expecting that lambskin Turban and aztec suede clutch, but we got it and it looks fucking SEXXY on you.

BAM.

Meg is actually the best at painting. She not only does a great job she wear Sun Ra tshirts while hustling.

Get ready for these boots! OH SHIT, right?!
This is like the ultimate gym bag. Keepin' your stank shoes from the rest of your stank clothes.

The First 6 Days

So the last 6 days have been completely crazy.

I'm talking painting 2000 square feet in 3 days, 14 ft ceilings included, kinda crazy.

Here's the point form:
  • My amazing boyfriend came down from NYC for 2 days to drive us around to grab lumberand furniture and every other heavy object we needed. We got a $60 ticket for parking in front of the space for 3 minutes while we ran a couch inside. Pauly lost his mind andcalled the bike cop an asshole which didn't improve the situation at all.

  • We found 3 amazing coffee tables we're going to use as displays.

  • Came up with this 'Narnia' type of closet idea that we are going to fill up with vintage party dresses, that looks really separate from the store.
  • Pauly built us the sexiest rolling racks made out of old lumber and pipes.

  • Matt Dog and Pauly also blew our minds by making the most incredible front display bench...barn board and scrap metal never looked so nice.

  • Meg and I are emotional roller coasters. Some days it's all beer and all fun and some days it's a lot of crying and hugs and stress. We basically dreamed up our ideal store, put a budget together and started go go going in the last 4 weeks. If the beautiful store we lucked out on didn't come up for rent who knows what we would be doing right now. As soon as the for rent sign was posted, it was a series of 500 phone calls and texts to each other coming up with our dream store and how we were going to go about doing it.Sometimes, when opportunity knocks you have 5 minutes to decide how you want to live the rest of your life, kick open the door in your pyjamas and yell 'WHAT'S UP NOW, MUTHERFU....'
  • At the end of the day we are so lucky for the people who have come to our rescue with funding, tool boxes, beers, vans, paint and sailboats.
